Cosmo's Italian Kitchen | Las Flores
When driving up to Cosmo's even the exterior colors, top window sizes and beams scream old world Italian which is surprising due to its location in a small strip mall. Being an end unit and its elevation looking over a canyon however gives the building additional character. On entering, there's plenty of activity and a warm Italian feel. The aromas instantly made my taste buds dance with excitement and while the bouquet wasn't as pungent as their Aliso Viejo restaurant with its kitchen at the front door, the festival of scents still grab you immediately.
It didn't take but a moment or two to be greeted by Bob, the owner. His welcoming demeanor, friendly touch on the shoulder and smile make you feel like you just showed up at an old friend's house for dinner. It's definitely part of the charm and while I don't know him personally it seems as though it wouldn't take long before they'd know you by name as they seem to make an effort and care about keeping you as a patron;
Let's get to the meal…
